Object Design
A collaboration between designer Olga Agrikova and KILTA — the handcrafted accent objects studio by Ilya and Tatiana Kuznetsov.
The Kryptos 451 screen is designed for space division in both residential and commercial interiors. The project foregrounds felt — a material with deep roots in Russian craft tradition — framed in natural solid wood. The softly rounded frame and the rhythm of the felt inserts carry quiet notes of retro-futurism.
The screen is part of the Kryptos interior objects collection by Olga Agrikova. The design draws on two sources of inspiration: the origin story of the Braille alphabet, and a visit to a museum of cryptography. Its form references an open book; the name echoes Ray Bradbury's dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451.
The frame is crafted from solid oak; the inserts are natural milk-coloured felt, lending the piece particular warmth and softness. Every element is made by hand, ensuring that each item is truly one of a kind.
Pieces from the Kryptos collection can be integrated into projects of any scale — from city apartments to country houses — in minimalist, neo-brutalist, and Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetics.
