Object Design
Object designer Olga Agrikova and Ceramum founder Anastasia Dulenko created a collaborative project — a series of floor lamps for the Kryptos collection.
The project emphasizes the pairing of felt, a material rooted in Russian craft culture, with handcrafted ceramics. The floor lamp is conceived as a sculptural object at the intersection of design and archaic plastic form. Its elongated totemic silhouette and intentionally rough surface reference ancient ritual artifacts and primitivist sculpture, reinterpreted through modernism and contemporary craft design.
Here, light is not only functional but part of the artistic image — a sign of presence, weight, and stillness. The rhythm of rounded protrusions adds a modernist accent, while the balance between architectural rigor and handcrafted ceramic expressiveness defines the object's character.
This model is part of the Kryptos interior collection, which includes floor, table, and pendant lamps as well as an interior screen. Kryptos pieces can be integrated into projects of any scale, from apartments to country houses, in minimalist, neo-brutalist, and Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetics.
All base elements are produced by hand in an in-house ceramic studio, ensuring exclusivity and high execution quality. The signature granular chamotte texture with subtle crackle and deep micro-volume creates a complex play of light. The shade is made of natural milk-toned felt. Italian hardware and a linen cord up to 2 meters are used. Recommended bulb: LED retro bulb D120 mm, E27.
Made to order. Production lead time: 5 weeks (subject to material availability).
Customization is available: color options and replacement of natural felt with synthetic felt. Price is calculated individually.
